The tables show payment transactions of cash deposit/payment to own account and cash withdrawal/payment from own account (transaction account, another payment account or other accounts).

Deposit means the payment transaction of depositing cash by the user of a payment service to his/her account (transaction account, another payment account or other accounts) operated by a payment services providers or to the account of a payment services provider (transaction account, another payment account or other accounts).

Withdrawal means the payment transaction of cash withdrawal by the user of a payment service from his/her account (transaction account, another payment account and other accounts) operated by a payment services provider or a cash withdrawal from the account of a payment services provider (transaction account, another payment account or other accounts).

Data presented in this report are collected on the basis of the Decision on the obligation to submit data on the payment system and electronic money (OG 147/2013) and the accompanying Instructions. 
 
This report shows data on the number and value of cash deposit and withdrawal transactions to the payment accounts of consumers and non-consumers in the Republic of Croatia.
 
Cash deposit transactions refer to the deposits of users of the payment service in cash in kuna executed to credit his/her payment accounts and other "accounts" and to credit the payment accounts and other "accounts" of credit institutions, i.e. exclusively over-the-counter and into the day/night deposit boxes of the reporting entities.   
 
Cash withdrawal transactions refer to disbursements to the user of the payment service in cash in kuna executed to debit his/her payment accounts and other "accounts" and to debit payment accounts and other "accounts" of credit institutions, i.e. exclusively over-the-counter of the reporting entities. 
 
 
DEFINITIONS AND DESCRIPTIONS
 
1. Consumer
"Consumer" means a natural person who, in payment service contracts covered by the Payment System Act (OG 133/2009 and 136/2012) is acting for purposes other than his/her trade, business or profession.
 
2. Non-consumer
"Non-consumer" means a legal or natural person other than the consumer. 
 
The following are included:
- legal persons (e.g. corporates, institutions, cooperatives, associations, foundations etc.), craftsmen and other natural persons employed as freelancers or carrying out an economic activity when entering into a contract on payment services within the area of their economic activity or freelance occupation,
- entities that do not have legal personality, but that may be holders of payment accounts (e.g. bodies of state administration, representative offices etc.).
 
3. Deposit 
The term "Deposit" means the payment transaction of depositing cash by the user of a payment service to his/her account (transaction account, another payment account or other "accounts") operated by a credit institution or to the account of a credit institution (transaction account, another payment account or other "accounts").
 
 
The following are also included:
- cash deposits to the payment service user by his/her proxy and legal representative;
- over-the-counter cash payments where the payment card (debit, savings, etc.) is used exclusively for the purpose of payer's identification;
- cash deposit into a day/night deposit box with a credit institution for the approval of the depositor's payment account operated by the credit institution;
- the payment of fees in cash to the benefit of the credit institution when the payment of the fee can be separated from the payment transaction as a separate payment transaction;
- the payment of interest, fees etc. in cash to the benefit of the credit institution;
- the payment of a credit instalment in cash to the benefit of the credit institution;
- the payment of monthly expenses for a payment card in cash over-the-counter at the credit institution that is at the same time the issuer of that payment card;
- over-the-counter deposit of proceeds, etc.
 
The following is not included:
- cash deposits to the service user's payment account at an ATM/banking kiosk;
- hand-over of cash at a credit institution for the purpose of execution of money remittance;
- cash deposit crediting the payment account of the payment service user when carried out by the person that is not a holder or a proxy of that payment account;
- the payment transactions of payment of a cheque and a paper-based draft to the account and the transaction of paper-based draft discount;
- cash deposits at an ATM/banking kiosk and/or cash withdrawal terminal;
- deposits of coins at a coin deposit machine and similar terminals to the payment account, etc.
 
4. Withdrawal 
The term "Withdrawal" means the payment transaction of  cash withdrawal by the user of a payment service from his/her account (transaction account, another payment account and other "accounts") operated by a credit institution or a cash withdrawal from the account of a credit institution (transaction account, another payment account or other "accounts").
 
The following are also included:
- cash withdrawals from the account of the payment service user to his/her proxy and legal representative;
- cash withdrawal where the payment card (debit, savings, etc.) is used exclusively for the purpose of payer's identification;
- payment of a credit amount in cash to the users of payment services by a credit institution, etc.
 
The following is not included:
- cash withdrawals from the payment account at an ATM/banking kiosk;
- cash withdrawal for the purpose of executing a money remittance;
- cash withdrawal when it is part of a payment using a payment card through an EFTPOS terminal (cash back);
- cash withdrawal through a cash withdrawal terminal (cash advance);
- the payment of a cheque and a paper-based draft in cash.
 
5. Payment account – transaction account
"Payment account – transaction account" means a current account or a giro account regulated by the Payment System Act opened at a credit institution.
 
6. Payment account – another payment account
"Payment account – another payment account" means any account operated by a credit institution in the name of one or more users of payment services used for the execution of payment transactions, and it cannot be categorised under the "Payment account – transaction account" and Other "accounts". 
 
7. Other "accounts"
The term "Other accounts" covers all other accounts that are not categorised under the "Payment account – transaction account" and "Payment account – another payment account". It comprises all accounts other than payment accounts, such as time deposits, various accounts, sub-accounts etc.
 
 
DESCRIPTION OF THE BASIC FIELDS OF THE REPORT
 
1. "CONSUMER - Deposits" column
The column "CONSUMER – Deposits" represents the total number/value of payment transactions (depending on the rules of the rows in the table) of cash deposits executed by consumers – users of a payment service of credit institutions to his/her payment accounts and other "accounts" and deposits of the consumer – payment service user to payment accounts and other "accounts" of credit institutions.
 
The following is also included:
- total number/value of cash deposit transactions of payment service users (consumers) at credit institutions to their payment accounts and other accounts,
- total number of cash payments by a consumer – user of a payment service at credit institutions credited to the payment account and other accounts of credit institutions (e.g. payment of a credit instalment).
 
2. "CONSUMER - Withdrawals" column
The column "CONSUMER - Withdrawals" represents the total number/value of payment transactions (depending on the rules of the rows in the table) of cash withdrawals executed from the payment account and other "accounts" of consumers – users of the payment service of credit institutions. 
 
3. "NON-CONSUMER - Deposits" column
The column "NON-CONSUMER – Deposits" represents the total number/value of payment transactions (depending on the rules of the rows in the table) of cash deposits executed by non-consumers – users of a payment service of credit institutions to his/her payment accounts and other "accounts" and deposits of the non-consumer – payment service user to payment accounts and other "accounts" of credit institutions.
 
4. Column "NON-CONSUMER - Withdrawals"
The column "NON-CONSUMER - Withdrawals" represents the total number/value of payment transactions of cash withdrawals executed from the payment account and other "accounts" of non-consumers – users of the payment service of credit institutions (non-consumers) and from the payment account and other "accounts" of credit institutions. 
 
The following are included:
- the total number/value of payment transactions of cash withdrawal of non-consumers – users of the payment service of credit institutions from their payment accounts,
- the total value of payments of credit amounts in cash to the users of payment services by credit institutions, etc.
 
5. TOTAL – DEPOSITS column
The column "TOTAL – DEPOSITS" represents the sum of the deposits of consumers and non-consumers according to the data from the columns.
 
6. TOTAL – WITHDRAWALS column
The column "TOTAL – WITHDRAWALS" represents the sum of the withdrawals of consumers and non-consumers according to the data from the columns.

Data presented in this report are collected on the basis of the Decision on the obligation to submit data on the payment system and electronic money (OG 147/2013) and the accompanying Instructions.
This report shows data on the number and value of cash withdrawal transactions in kuna from the payment accounts and other "accounts" of consumers, non-consumers and Reporting entities themselves as well as to the charge of the payment cards of consumers and non-consumers in the Republic of Croatia.
Data in this report are presented according to the description of payment methods (withdrawals) or by the device/place at which cash is withdrawn (Over-the-counter, ATM/banking kiosk, EFTPOS terminal, Cash withdrawal terminal, Other).   
Cash withdrawal transactions refer to disbursements to the user of the payment service in cash in kuna executed to debit his/her payment accounts and other "accounts" and to debit payment accounts and other "accounts" of credit institutions, as well as to the charge of the payment cards of consumers and non-consumers, i.e., at the following devices/places: over-the-counter, ATM/banking kiosk, ETFPOS terminal, cash withdrawal terminal (cash advance) and at other devices/places.
 
Definitions and descriptions

This report shows data on the number and value of cash deposit transactions of payment service users consumers and non-consumers in cash in kuna executed to credit his/her payment accounts and other "accounts" and to credit the payment accounts and other "accounts" of credit institutions, i.e., over-the-counter, day/night deposit boxes, ATMs/banking kiosks and cash withdrawal terminals (cash advance).
 
This report also shows data on payment orders executed in cash to credit the payment accounts and other "accounts" of other users of a payment service and to credit the payment accounts and other "accounts" of credit institutions, i.e., over-the-counter and using a 2D barcode, for the purpose of execution of credit transfers, money remittance and bill-paying services.
Within each of the mentioned descriptions of payment methods i.e. deposit, data are shown according to the purpose/method of deposit through which cash was deposited to the payment account and/or other "account" (cash, credit transfer, bill-paying service, money remittance and payment card).

The term "cash deposit" covers payment transactions of the deposit of cash to the account for the payment with a payment card, as well as deposit of coins at a coin deposit machine.
 
The following are also included:
- cash deposits to the payment service user's account when carried out by the person who is also the owner, proxy and/or legal representative of the account;
- over-the-counter cash deposits where the payment card (debit, savings, etc.) is used exclusively for the purpose of payer's identification who is also the owner, proxy and/or legal representative of the account;
- cash deposit into a day/night deposit box with a credit institution for the approval of the depositor's payment account operated by the credit institution;
- the payment of fees in cash to credit the credit institution when the payment of the fee can be separated from the payment transaction as a separate payment transaction;
- the payment of interest, fees etc. in cash to credit the credit institution;
- the payment of a credit instalment in cash to credit the credit institution;
- the payment of monthly expenses for a payment card in cash over-the-counter at the credit institution that is at the same time the issuer of that payment card;
- over-the-counter deposits of proceeds;
- cash deposits by the user of a payment service to his/her payment account at an ATM/banking kiosk and cash withdrawal terminal through a payment card; 
- deposits of coins at a coin deposit machine to the payment account, which is shown under the description of payment method "ATM/banking kiosk";
- hand-over of cash over-the-counter at a credit institution for the purpose of execution of money remittance service;
- cash deposit crediting the payment account of the payment service user when carried out by the person that is not a holder or a proxy of that payment account, which in this report is shown under the purpose/method of payment "Credit transfer";
- the payment of a payment order in cash crediting the payment account of the payment service user, which in this report is shown under the purpose/method of payment "Credit transfer";
- the payment of a payment order in cash crediting the payment account of credit institutions, which in this report is shown under the purpose/method of payment "Credit transfer",
- etc.
 
4. Payment account – transaction account
"Payment account – transaction account" means a current account or a giro account regulated by the Payment System Act opened at a credit institution.

"Payment account – another payment account" means any account operated by a credit institution in the name of one or more payment service users used for the execution of payment transactions, and it cannot be categorised under the "Payment account – transaction account" and Other "accounts".  
 
6. Other "accounts"
"Other accounts" means all other accounts that are not categorised under the "Payment account – transaction account" and "Payment account – another payment account".  It comprises all accounts other than payment accounts, such as time deposits, various accounts, sub-accounts etc.
 
 
Description of the basic fields of the report
 
1. Line "Over the counter – Cash"
The line "Over-the-counter – Cash" shows payment transactions of depositing (placing) cash over the counter executed to payment accounts and other "accounts of the user of a payment service of credit institutions and the deposits by payment service users to the payment accounts and other "accounts" of credit institutions.
 
2. Line "Over the counter – Credit transfer" 
The line "Over-the-counter – Credit transfer" shows the payment transactions of depositing cash over the counter crediting the payment service users' payment account, when carried out by the person that is not the owner or a proxy of that payment account.
It also shows data on payment orders executed in cash crediting the payment service users' payment account, as well as crediting credit institutions, which in this report is shown under the purpose/method of payment "Credit transfer".
 
3. Line "Over the counter – Bill-paying service" 
The line "Over the counter – Bill-paying service" shows data on payment orders executed in cash (most frequently utility bills) over the counter of a credit institution (or through the person working in the name and on behalf of the credit institution), which are executed as a bill-paying service.
 
The bill-paying service is a service in which a Reporting entity, on the basis of a contract with the payee, collects funds from the payer, irrespective of the manner of their collection, and makes the collected amount available to the payee within time cycles determined by a contract (e.g. electricity, water, gas and other bills), pursuant to the provisions of the Payment System Act, which defines the deadlines for the execution of payments.
 
4. Line "Over the counter – Money remittance" 
The line "Over the counter – Money remittance" shows data on hand-over of cash over the counter, which is made available to a credit institution (or a person acting on behalf and for the account of the credit institution) for the purpose of executing a money remittance.  
 
Money remittance is a payment service where funds are received from a payer, without any payment accounts being created in the name of the payer or the payee, for the sole purpose of transferring a corresponding amount to a payee or to another payment service provider acting on behalf of the payee, and/or where such funds are received on behalf of and made available to the payee. 
 
5. Line "2D barcode – Credit transfer" 
The line "2D barcode – Credit transfer" shows data on credit transfers initiated by using a 2D barcode or other forms of scanning on paper-based payment orders that are scanned exclusively over the counter at credit institutions (or through a person that, on the basis of a contract, is acting on behalf of and for the account of the reporting entity), and the source of funds for payment is cash.
 
6. Line "2D barcode – Bill-paying service"
The line "2D barcode – Bill-paying service" shows data on payment orders executed in cash for the execution of a payment transaction of bill-paying service. The orders are initiated using a 2D barcode or other forms of scanning, which are scanned exclusively over the counter at credit institutions (or through a person acting on behalf and for the account of the credit institution).
 
7. Line "Day/night deposit box – Cash"
The line "Day/night deposit box – Cash" shows data on cash deposit into a day/night deposit box for crediting to the depositor's payment account operated by the credit institution.
 
The day/night deposit box is a self-service device used for cash deposits for further processing and depositing to the payment account.
 
8. Line "ATM/banking kiosk – Payment card"
The line "ATM/banking kiosk" shows data on cash deposits to own payment account at an ATM/banking kiosk using a payment card.
 
The ATM/banking kiosk is an electromechanical terminal allowing the users of payment instruments cash withdrawal and/or deposit, money remittance, the use of the service of providing information on the balance in the transaction account and other services.
 
"Payment card" means a payment instrument enabling its holder to make payments for goods and services either at an acquiring terminal or remotely, and/or to access cash and/or other services at an ATM/banking kiosk or other devices.
 
9. Line "Cash withdrawal terminal – Payment card"
The line "Cash withdrawal terminal – Payment card" shows data on cash deposits to own payment account at a cash withdrawal terminal using a payment card.
 
10. Line "Other – Cash"
The line "Other – Cash" shows data on payment transactions of cash deposits crediting the payment accounts and other "accounts" that are initiated/executed at all other places or using all other terminals/means/channels other than those categorised to any of the above mentioned descriptions of payment methods. 
 
11. Line "Other – Credit transfer"
The line "Other – Credit transfer" shows data on payment transactions of cash deposits (placing) crediting the payment service users' payment accounts when carried out by the person that is not the owner or a proxy of that payment account that are initiated/executed at all other places or using all other terminals/means/channels other than those categorised to any of the above mentioned descriptions of payment methods.
 
12. Line "Other – Bill-paying service"
The line "Other – Bill-paying service" shows data on payment orders executed in cash for the execution of a payment transaction of bill-paying service that are initiated/executed at all other places or using all other terminals/means/channels other than those categorised to any of the above mentioned descriptions of payment methods.
 
13. Line "Other – Money remittance"
The line "Other – Money remittance" shows data on payment transactions of hand-over of cash at all other places or using all other terminals/means/channels other than those categorised to any of the above mentioned descriptions of payment methods.  
 
14. Line "Other – Payment card"
The line "Other – Payment card" shows data on payment transactions of cash deposits using a payment card at all other places or using all other terminals/means/channels other than those categorised to any of the above mentioned descriptions of payment methods.
