GOLD AND SILVER COINS |

In cooperation
with the Croatian Monetary Institute, the Croatian National Bank issued a
commemorative silver coin honouring Benedikt Kotruljević, a 15th
century economist, renowned in Croatia and worldwide, whose seminal book "The
Art of Trading" describes the nature and functioning
of entrepreneurshipand gives a full account of
double-entry bookkeeping, which at present times still has a world-wide
application.
The coin was minted in proof condition and was released for sale on 25
February 2008.

The concept
and design of the commemorative silver coin is by the academic sculptor Damir
Mataušić.
This issue was
minted by the Croatian Monetary Institute. The Croatian National Bank has
contractually delegated the promotion and sale to the Croatian Monetary
