 "ANDRIJA MOHOROVIČIĆ"

In cooperation with the Croatian Monetary Institute, the Croatian National Bank issued a commemorative gold coin marking the 150th birth anniversary of Andrija Mohorovičić, a prominent scientist in the field of meteorology and seismology, one of the greatest Croatian scientists and, as considered by geophysicists worldwide, a leading figure of seismology in the 20th century.
The commemorative gold coin was minted in proof condition and released for sale on 25 February 2008.

The concept and design of the commemorative gold coin is by the academic sculptor Stjepan Divković.
