Pursuant to the provisions of Article 27 of the Croatian National Bank Act (Official Gazette 36/2001) and Article 57, paragraphs 4 and 5 of the Banking Act (Official Gazette 84/2002), the Croatian National Bank has signed several memoranda of understanding with their foreign counterparts concerning mutual cooperation in the area of banking supervision.
 

The basic principles and the contents of the memoranda are based on the documents issued by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision:
