Motif on the obverse: the centre of the coin features the denomination numeral and currency name "1 LIPA" against the background showing a stylised blooming linden branch. The inscription "REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA" is displayed circularly along the edge of the coin. Positioned centrally along the lower edge is the coat of arms of the Republic of Croatia.

Motif on the reverse: the centre of the coin features a stylised corn stalk with two cobs with big, ripe, kernels. The inscription "FAO" is displayed semi-circularly above the image of the corn stalk. The years "1945" and "1995" are inscribed in two lines to the right of the central part of the coin. The Latin inscription "FIAT PANIS" is shown along the edge of the lower semi-circle.
