"Dalmatian Dog" – CNB’s additional new silver and gold coins

The Croatian National Bank has released new issues of commemorative gold and silver coins "Dalmatian Dog" with the commemorative motifs of the Dalmatian dog, one of the most recognisable breeds in Croatia and the world.

The design of the commemorative gold and silver coins is by the sculptor Nikola Vudrag and the issue was minted by the Croatian Mint.

The total issued quantity of the HRK 1,000 coloured gold coin is limited at 101 items, the HRK 250 gold coin is limited at 2,000 items, and the HRK 20 coloured silver coin is limited at 500 items.

In November 2021, the CNB issued HRK 1,000 gold coins, HRK 50 gold coins and HRK 10 silver coins with the same motif.

The coins will be sold by the Croatian Mint. The initial selling price for the HRK 1,000 coloured gold coin is expected to range around HRK 16,000.00 (without VAT) and for the HRK 250 gold coin around HRK 3,800.00 (without VAT). The initial selling price for the HRK 20 silver coin will range around HRK 1,592.00 (without VAT).  The final selling price will depend on the movement in the price of gold and silver in the open market.
