Parliamentary deputies pay visit to the Croatian National Bank

Responding to the initiative and invitation of the Croatian National Bank to all deputy clubs of the Croatian Parliament, the Deputy Club of National Minorities met with central bank management at CNB premises today. The main topic on the agenda of this meeting was the provision of more in-depth information to deputies on consumer protection monitoring and monetary policy and its instruments. The Governor and CNB management were available for all deputies' questions, aiming to achieve, in an open discussion, a more transparent communication regarding the mandate and the tasks of the Croatian National Bank.

The Croatian National Bank intends to continue with this practice and hopes that other deputy clubs of the Croatian Parliament will follow suit and respond to its invitation, with the aim of continuing and broadening mutual exchange of information and dialogue between the Croatian Parliament and the central bank outside the scope of regular reporting before parliamentary bodies; i.e. at plenary sessions.

The participants at today's meeting were Vladimir Bilek, the Chairperson of the Deputy Club of National Minorities, Veljko Kajtazi, Deputy Chairperson, and members, Mile Horvat, Ermina Lekaj Prljaskaj, Boris Milošević, Milorad Pupovac, and Furio Radin. The participants from the Croatian National Bank were Governor Boris Vujčić, Deputy Governor Relja Martić and Vicegovernors Vedran Šošić, Damir Odak, Tomislav Presečan, Bojan Fras and Neven Barbaroša.
