The Croatian National Bank issued a commemorative silver coin to mark the 150th anniversary of the decision on reintroducing the Croatian language into Croatia's political and public life and substituting it for Latin, enacted by the Croatian Parliament on 23 October 1847.
Minted in proof quality, the coin was released for sale on 25 June 1998.

The Decision on the issue and sale of the commemorative silver coin "150th anniversary of the Croatian Parliament decision on the Croatian language" was published in the Official Gazette No. 80/1998, 34/2010, 120/2010, 128/2012 and 109/2017.
The design of the silver coin is by the sculptor Kažimir Hraste.
