Credit institutions

Credit institutions are institutions authorised by the Croatian National Bank in accordance with the Credit Institutions Act whose activity is the taking of deposits or other repayable funds from the public and the granting of credits for own account. In the Republic of Croatia, a credit institution may be established as a bank, a savings bank or a housing savings bank. The credit institutions sector does not include banks undergoing liquidation or bankruptcy proceedings.

The tables show aggregate data on credit institution's assets and liabilities and data on credit institutions' interest rates. In addition, the tables and figures show, individually and aggregately, data on income statement and the capital adequacy of credit institutions, as well as other relevant data on credit institutions. The data are based on the reporting system in accordance with the Decision on statistical and prudential reporting and on the framework for carrying out of supervision and the collection of credit institutions' prudential reports.
