CNB issues “Faust Vrančić’s Innovations” gold and silver numismatic coins

The Croatian National Bank issued “Faust Vrančić’s Innovations” gold and silver numismatic coins as part of the “Croatian Inventors” numismatic coin series with the objective of promoting prominent historical and scientific motifs in the Republic of Croatia and the world. The gold coin is issued in the 100 euro denomination and the silver coin is issued in the 4 euro denomination.

The design of the obverse of the coins is by the sculptor Paula Banić Vudrag and the design of the reverse of the coins is by the sculptor Jelena Mavrić Varga.

“Faust Vrančić’s Innovations” gold and silver numismatic coins are released for sale on 28 June 2023. The issued quantity of the gold numismatic coin is limited at 300 pieces and the issued quantity of the silver numismatic coin is limited at 15,000 pieces.

The numismatic coins will be sold by the Croatian Mint. The initial selling price for the gold numismatic coin is expected to range around EUR 2,200.00 and the selling price for the silver numismatic coin is expected to range around EUR 40.00, VAT excluded. The selling price at the time of purchase will depend on the movement in the price of gold and silver in the open market.
