“Dalmatian Dog” – CNB’s new silver and gold coins

The Croatian National Bank has issued commemorative gold and silver coins “Dalmatian Dog” with the commemorative motifs of the Dalmatian dog, one of the most recognisable breeds in Croatia and the world.

The design of the commemorative gold and silver coins is by the sculptor Nikola Vudrag and the issue was minted by the Croatian Mint. The total issued quantity of the HRK 1,000 gold coin is limited at 999 items, and the HRK 50 gold coin is limited at 5,000 items. The total issued quantity of the HRK 10 silver coin is limited at 15,000 items.

The coins will be sold by the Croatian Mint. The initial selling price for the HRK 1,000 gold coin is expected to range around HRK 13,000.00 (without VAT) and for the HRK 50 gold coin around HRK 900.00 (without VAT). The initial selling price for the HRK 10 silver coin will range around HRK 320.00 (without VAT). The final selling price will depend on the movement in the price of gold and silver in the open market.
