In response to media speculations about the possibility of my testifying before the Investigation Committee of the Regional Parliament of Carinthia, I wish to state that, in line with the cooperation with the competent authorities of the Republic of Austria - provided for by the Agreement between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Austria on the Amendments to the European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters, and by the Memorandum of Understanding between the Croatian National Bank and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance and the Austrian Financial Market Authority concerning their Co-operation in the Field of Banking Supervision - the CNB, as always, stands ready, pursuant to the regulations of the Republic of Croatia, to exchange information and discuss all matters within the scope of its activities relating to the case of Hypo Alpe Adria Bank. In this respect, the CNB has been expecting relevant enquiries or a visit by the representatives of the competent authorities of the Republic of Austria.
