New majority owner of a Štedna banka

The Council of the Croatian National Bank reviewed today the latest economic and monetary developments and adopted the annual report on the performance and financial operations of the central bank in 2010.

At its today's session, the CNB Council considered and approved the application of the Development Fund of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, which has its headquarters in Novi Sad, to acquire more than 50 percent of the initial capital of A štedna banka malog poduzetništva d.d., Zagreb. The acquisition will be effected by purchasing a package of current ordinary shares and by injecting fresh capital into the stated savings bank.

The CNB Council also approved the decisions of supervisory boards of three banks on the appointment of the following persons to the management boards of these financial institutions: Ivo Markotić thus becomes chairman and Fran Renko member of the management board of Centar banka d.d., Zagreb; Gian Luigi Bonfe becomes management board chairman of Banka Kovanica d.d., Varaždin; Nenad Jeđud remains chairman and Tihomir Gluić becomes member of the management board of Međimurska banka d.d., Čakovec.
