A student discussion on "Financial fraud in the age of digital finance" was held today at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM).
The student discussion, part of the traditional cooperation between the Croatian National Bank and the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa), aims to encourage students to reflect on topics related to financial literacy. Every year, the CNB and HANFA cooperate with a partner from the academic community in preparing a discussion on a selected topic. This year Josip Pintarić from the CNB's Consumer Protection Monitoring Office and Ana Tkalčević from the Consumer Protection Monitoring and Education Department of Hanfa helped ZSEM students to prepare for the discussion. Students Lovro Nevidal, Dominic Markovina, Ivan Tokić, Marin Lesić, Lovro Lesić and Roko Jurić were divided into two teams and prepared presentations on the most common frauds that occur in the financial market.
The student discussion was attended by interested students of ZSEM, who, together with the dean of ZSEM, Mato Njavro, Ph.D., actively engaged in the discussion.
