“200th Anniversary of Samobor Carnival” gold and silver collector coins

As part of the Croatian Heritage collector coin series, the Croatian National Bank has issued “200th Anniversary of Samobor Carnival” gold and silver collector coins with commemorative motifs representing one of the oldest and most famous carnival traditions in Croatia, which is deeply-rooted in the Croatian traditional culture and heritage. The gold collector coins are denominated at EUR 50 and EUR 20 and the silver collector coins at EUR 8 and EUR 4, with the EUR 8 denominated silver collector coin issued as colour coin.

The gold and silver collector coins are minted in uncirculated condition and are released for sale on 5 February 2026.

The Decision on the issue of gold and silver collector coins "200th Anniversary of Samobor Carnival" was published in the Official Gazette 7/2026.

The gold and silver coin collector coins designs are by the sculptor Karlo Gross.

The collector coins were minted and are sold by the Croatian Mint.
