The Decision on the issue and sale of commemorative gold and silver coins "Republic Of Croatia – a Member of the European Union – 1 VII 2013" was published in the Official Gazette No. 71/2013, 121/2016 and 109/2017.

The design of the gold and silver coins is by the sculptor Damir Mataušić.

This issue was minted by the Croatian Mint.
