When is early repayment fee charged?

Certain limitations have been imposed for consumer credit negotiated after 1 January 2010

The fee for early partly or full repayment of a consumer credit negotiated prior to 2010 is charged in accordance with the bank's applicable tariff of service fees while the fee for a consumer credit negotiated after 1 January 2010 is subject to certain limitations. More specifically, no fee may be charged for early consumer credit repayment if it is made at the time of application of the variable interest rate. If a fixed interest rate has been negotiated for a loan, a fee may be charged subject to certain conditions and maximum amounts (the amount of fee may not exceed 1% of the amount of credit which is being repaid early if the period between the day of early repayment and credit maturity under the credit agreement is longer than one year. If that period is shorter than one year, the amount of fee charged may not exceed 0.5% of the amount of credit that is being repaid early). In addition, starting from 20 October 2017, no fees may be charged for early repayment of housing consumer credits negotiated after 20 October 2017.
